Dinning tables or conference tables are the show pieces of your home.  They attract the most attention and take the most abuse.  Today's modern finishes are meeting the requirements of a more demanding public.  Modern finishes can resist moisture, heat and chemicals better than any of yesteryear. A Polyurethane finish can add years of extended use.  These modern finishes look no different to the eye and add extra protection. Sadly, no finish is completely resistant to all use or abuse, especially in sunlight rooms.

Avoid plastic on a table top.  “Plasticizer migration” is the result of two incompatible materials in contact with each other.  Have you ever seen the pressed in image of a plastic doily in the center of a table or perhaps the weave pattern of an acrylic table runner?  .  Our recommendation is a high wear finish protected by a professional table pad, cotton table cloth or glass.
