Conservation- Delicate objects require special
handling and care. Each object is treated with integrity and historically
accurate methods. The professors at Dakota County Technical College, in
conjunction with the Smithsonian Institute, have educated their students
with the solvent chemistry, materials, techniques and documentation required
to work on many wooden objects. Jon Inman has performed conservation
techniques on many wooden artifacts for private collectors, including an
1848 Walnut cabinet for the Wisconsin Historical Society, Joe Kapler,
Curator.
